REVIEW: FRESH SKINLAB JEJU ALOE ICE GEL LOTION (FILIPINA ACNE PRONE SKIN)

Fresh Skinlab Jeju Aloe Ice Gel for Php. 199.00 at Watsons store nationwide.

Hey loves! First post for 2019! Did you missed me? :)

Our skin has so many important functions, loves. It regulates body temperature, allows us to sense touch, and it shields us from microbes and harmful elements. As the largest organ of the human body, it is mind-blowing that so many of us tend to dismiss skincare as a vanity need rather than view it as a necessity for human health. Take me as an example. I had been spending so much money on make-ups lately that I took little time to even buy new products for my skincare routine.

For today's blog, I'm gonna review this aloe gel that has been making some noise in the market. It is literally always out-of-stock at Watsons or at SM Department in my area.

[About: Aloe Vera Gel]
The vitamins from the Aloe Vera Extract, such as vitamins E, C, and other minerals, keeps the skin moisturized and protects the skin from the UV rays. The fresh Aloe Vera is suitable for all skin types. It can soothes puffy, and tired face. Lastly, it will improve your skin's texture!

There is like a lot of Aloe Gel in the market nowadays that promises to give you the best, but girl, weall know we only have one face, so I recommend for you to try them as long as the product brandisworth your money, and how it work wonders for you. I have been using Nature Republic's Aloe Gel for a year but then I stumbled with Fresh Skinlab Aloe Ice Gel that I told myself to give it a try.

This is my honest, not sponsored, and legit review for this new cult favorite! For an acne-prone skin type like mine, Aloe Gel is my holy grail! It soothes my dry patches, and when I exfoliate, trust me it soothes, and moisturize my skin after. I use this after I applied all my skincare. This is my last step in my routine to help close my pores and absorb the things I put on my face.

Fresh Skinlab Jeju Aloe Ice Aloe Vera Soothing Gel 300ml contains Aloe Extract from Jeju with cooling effect. It can be bought from your nearest mall stores for only Php. 199.00.

Ingredients:
Aqua; Aloe barbadensis Leaf Water; Alcohol; Butylene Glycol; Glycerin; Cyclopentasiloxane; Panthenol; Palmitic Acid; Stearic Acid; Glyceryl Stearate; PEG-100 Stearate; Sodium Polyacrylate Starch; Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer; Phenoxyethanol; Parfum; Methylparaben; Disodium EDTA; C14-22 Alcohols; C12-20 Alkyl Glucoside

Now that it is summertime here in the Philippines, when excessive heat and air conditioning can easily dehydrate our skin, it is so important not only to protect our skin but to keep it hydrated and  moisturized. I usually use Aloe Gel as my facial mask at night, and I sleep on it. The next day, my skin is so firm, plump, and very much hydrated.

What I like about this product:
  • Cooling Effect - put this inside your freezer for added cooling sensation. For me, the cooling sensation of the product help close my pores. It has this wake-up effect for my skin. Great for mildly moisturizing, it helps calm my skin down and it also brightens it and gives it more color.
  • Pleasant Scent - I love things that smell so good without being too loud or bold with its scent. The  Fresh Skinlab Jeju Aloe has a mild scent that doesn't feel so overpowering unlike the other  aloe vera gel that I had tried before.
  • Affordable Price  - It's only for Php. 199.00
  • Doesn't Clog Pores - Yes!  doing  it's wonders without sitting on my humps for way too long!
  • FOR ALL SKIN TYPES - LIKE DO I NEED TO EXPLAIN ABOUT THIS?! Worried about skin irritation and new pimples appearing? Don't be!
  • Formulated in Korea - We all know, Korean Skin Care Regimen  is the new century favorite nowadays! We are so hyped with their skincare routine and admit it or not, we follow their routine! Everything that has been made in South Korea, we all know that it is the best. Skin Care products from South Korea dominates the market, and this aloe ice coming from Jeju? Oh my God!

What I don't like about this product:

Of course! It's not always rainbows and butterflies when you  try something on. There will always be this tiny little bit of thing about it that you will surely hate.  My skin definitely got a little better because the aloe vera gel reduced the redness from my blemishes.  I just don't know if it has the power to lighten my dark spots but I surely saw huge improvement in terms of my war on my dark spots and acne scars.

  • Greasy - It sure does leave a smooth finish but when you feel it, it is a bit greasy and sticky which I don't really like.
  • It dries slowly - You have to be patient. It takes way too long to dry or absorbed by your skin. Maybe because I put a lot on my skin but I have tried other aloe gel this is by far the longest that dries up fast.
  • Tingling Sensation - After spreading the gel unto your face, your skin will somehow react with a tiny bit of tingling (mahapdi) sensation. Don't worry! After some minutes the sensation will go away. Maybe, it is because of it's cooling effect, or maybe not?
  • Yogurt-y Texture - Mayonnaise kind of texture. Creamy... I didn't expect this from an Aloe Gel but its milky, yogurt-y, and mayonnaise-y maybe is the reason why  it is a bit greasy? Lol!

So, there you have it! My review about this new trend. Sana ay natulungan ko kayo regarding sa product na ito, Please be advised to use this product at your own risk. I am not a skin expert, I am just sharing my views and opinion about this product. It works for me, it may not work for you. Do some skin test first if "hiyang" ka sa aloe gel na ito. It might trigger your acne more, it may not.

    1. I really don't recommend using any beauty products while pregnant. When I was pregnant, (almost five years ago) I was very careful and keen on chosing what I apply and put on myself, fearing it might harm the baby. Lol! Ask your OB-Gyne first but just to be safe huwag ka na lang gumamit 😊
